Sony's Approach To Online Gaming

from the low-key,-for-now dept

The gaming industry has been getting a lot of press lately for doing well, while every other tech-related industry seems to be tanking. The next step for many gaming companies seems to be online games. In fact, Sony is launching their online gaming solution tomorrow – but they’ve been very low-key about it. News.com is running an interview with Sony Computer and Entertainment of America President, Kaz Hirai, where he explains Sony’s strategy. It seems, at this point, they just want to get it out there, and see how people are using it, before they start a big promotional push. It’s kind of nice to see a company that actually wants to see what their consumers want to do, before overhyping their new offerings.
