More Evidence Of How The Entertainment Industry Doesn't Get It

from the in-case-you-didn't-realize dept

It’s time for more idiotic quotes from the media industry. The head of News Corp, who we quoted in an earlier post, apparently also complained about “enormous amount” of bad content online. This fits well with the post we had last week about media titans “not getting it”. If the content is online, it matters to someone. The media titans still seem to think that if they didn’t produce the content, then it’s crap. So, by their thinking, the world needs the “real” content from the media industry – and this is their way of threatening not to provide it, unless we block what makes the internet useful. You know what? I really don’t need News Corp or Fox content online. I’m pretty happy with the content that’s online now.
