It wasn’t long ago that people were completely trashing Mike Armstrong for what he did to AT&T, as the stock dropped and he planned to break up the company into separate pieces. However, these days, compared to other telecom companies like Worldcom and Qwest, Armstrong is looking like a Boy Scout, and some (including Armstrong himself) are thinking that maybe he deserves a little more respect.
