Is The US Headed For Cyberwar?

from the what-does-that-mean-anyway dept

I’ve tried to avoid posting stories about the “cyberthreats” against the US because I think, for the most part, they’re pure hype. Now, a columnist is asking the same question and wondering what’s the real cyberthreat against the US, and are folks in power crying wolf a bit too much in constantly telling us that we’re at risk of a cyberattack? The column also raises a very important question: just what do they mean by a cyberwar? What would it entail? No one seems to clearly explain that either. They just bring up the “fear” factor by warning that these “attacks” would be really bad.
