Giving Computers Instead Of Food And Money
from the different-ways-to-help dept
Italy is apparently pushing forward with plans to help poorer countries by providing them with technology systems instead of food or just money. In the long run, they believe the technology will help those countries progress a lot more. It seems they’re carefully choosing which countries will get the technology, so as not to send technology to a country that is so far behind that they can’t make use of it. They’re also setting up specific technology projects that help the country in question.

good idea
Make them code open source for their daily rice and water. 1g of rice for each line of correct code. Oh, yeah, and they have to peddal a bicycle hooked up to a generator at the same time.
