CDMA2000 Winning The Race To 3G
Morgan Stanley has dubbed CDMA2000 the leading technology in the 3G race. They point out that carriers who have adopted CDMA2000 are launching 3G services more quickly that counterparts who are on the GSM/W-CDMA path. CDMA2000 certainly has technology and cost advantages. There is simply no denying it. But with 68 percent of the world on GSM, does it matter who’s first? Forget about speed and who’s first. Let’s talk about applications, user adoption and revenues. In the short CDMA2000 may win all all these counts. But in the long run W-CDMA will be the global standard.
