Mobile Firms Are Overcharging
A study in the UK of Britain’s four wireless carriers has shown that the firms are overcharging for calls made between networks. The four companies charge “termination fees” for receiving calls from other networks, and have little incentive to lower these fees. The report found that the companies charge well above the cost for these cross network calls, and use the profits from them to subsidize other areas of their business.
