Ericsson Reports Loss
Following yesterday’s disappoint earnings reports from Nokia and Sprint PCS, I guess it’s no surprise that Ericsson is out quite a bit of cash as well. They speak specifically about how their joint venture Sony Ericsson produced lower volume than they expected, while dealing with the need for increased marketing costs to make an impact. It doesn’t take much more evidence to conclude that the mobile phone business is struggling right now.
