Picture Messaging Launching Everywhere

Following our post yesterday about AT&T getting ready to launch a picture messaging service, it appears that picture messaging is showing up all over the world. Hong Kong’s SmarTone is launching an MMS service to allow people to take pictures and send them via their mobile phones, and TurkCell is launching a similar service in Turkey. TurkCell plans to charge approximately $0.30 per message, while SmarTone is a bit pricier, as the message will cost between $0.38 and $1.00 depending on the size of the image.
