MS Wants Ericsson?
It must be rumor week at Techdirt Wireless. Talk of Ericsson being ripe for some sort of M&A activity has been going on for the last week or so. Today Ericsson denied rumors that Microsoft is making a bid for them. I don’t see the logic in MS buying Ericsson. It would make more sense if MS was trying to get a piece of the SonyEricsson jv, but going after Ericsson seems like a stretch for MS. The last thing we need is telecom infrastructure by Microsoft. Mobile networks are shakey enough as is.
