Broadband Changes User Habits

from the not-surprising dept

A new study has shown that people who have broadband access at home use the internet differently that those stuck on dialup. The findings aren’t that surprising. Broadband users use the internet more, see it as more of a “goto” tool, and tend to multitask more while online. They’re also more likely to create content for the web, share files, telecommute or use streaming video or audio. I don’t think any of these findings is even remotely surprising to anyone, but it’s nice to see someone checked up to make sure the obvious really was obvious.
