No Rush for 700 MHz
Sometimes it pays to be late to the market. While European carriers raced to buy 3G spectrum and overpaid dearly, their US counterparts are in no rush. US operators won their fight to delay the 700 Mhz spectrum auctions until it’s clear when the spectrum will be vacated by its current squaters. So while the US has a long way to go for 3G, at least there is a chance it will be more affordable affordable when it launches.
