Hard Drives For Humanity

from the need-that-computer dept

Habitat for Humanity is working on a new program to provide computers in the new homes they build. While the homes don’t have “luxuries” like dishwashers and garbage disposals, a computer is considered a necessity these days. Everyone getting one of the computers is also required to take a training course. The computers are donated by local companies, and free internet access is provided by AOL.
