Getting Close to Danger

All the talk in wireless these days seems to be about enterprise products. RIM, Handspring, Good, they are all going after the same market. One company focused squarely on the consumer is Danger with their Hiptop device. When originally annouced almost a year ago, the Hiptop was going to ship in Early 2002. The latest ship date is late July. Check out News.com’s excellent interview with two of the co-founders who discuss the pros and cons of going after the consumer wireless device market. Danger’s big advantage at the moment is that they have the guts to go after this market while everyone is focusing on enterprise customers. We are looking forward to July.
