TI Cuts Bluetooth Costs

Texas Instruments annouced a new single-chip Bluetooth design. By cutting the number of chips required to include Bluetooth in a mobile phone, TI has cut the cost from $10 to less than $4 per chip and reduced the amount of power Bluetooth requires. Many are still unconvinced that Bluetooth will be a success, but as of yet there no alternatives with its mix of low power and range.
