Shop Online With Cash At 7-Eleven
from the experimenting dept
7-Eleven is going to start experimenting with online kiosks in their stores that take cash for e-commerce purchases. They figure they’re targeting the millions of Americans who either don’t have internet access or don’t have credit cards. They’ll probably add a $1 transaction fee. You won’t actually be able to surf the internet, but just look at a few goods from just a few select merchants. The one offering they’re talking about that really does sound useful will be the ability to print out a map with directions. While many of us do this from home, imagine being completely lost and being able to just run into the first 7-Eleven you find and printing out a map with directions? Overall, though, I’m not sure that people will start rushing down to the local 7-Eleven to buy things online.
