NYSE Must Go To Court Over Internet Postings

from the as-they-should dept

A judge has ruled against a summary judgment for the New York Stock Exchange in a case against some guy who tried posting under the name of NYSE President Richard Grasso. The judge pointed out that it’s highly unlikely that anyone would believe that the same Richard Grasso was posting offensive messages including investing “advice” on an online message board. The guy who did the posting claims that the posts were an attempt at “parody” and that the parody failed because no one even knows who Richard Grasso is.
