Physicist Believes He Can Create Time Travel
from the sure-you-can... dept
Apparently, a pyhsicist at UConn believes he’s figured out the secret of time travel. While there are plenty of people who think he’s nuts, he’s pretty sure that it’s possible. There’s a great quote in there where he says, “I would think I was a crackpot, too, if there weren’t other colleagues I knew who were working on it.” He’s hoping to test out his theories by sending a neutron through time. Sending something larger than that, such as a person, is a much more difficult problem. However, he says that if his theories are correct, then it becomes just an “engineering problem” to figure out how to send people through time. Thanks to GMSV for finding this one.

This guy (Mallett) is crazy.
“…time travelers killing their parents and making it impossible for them to exist? No, he says, explaining that those travelers would continue to exist in a ”parallel universe.”
O yeah — laws always prevent people from doing things like that…
