Judges Blast Library Filters

from the doesn't-look-good-for-filters dept

As the trial to determine whether or not internet filters can be forced on libraries concluded, the three judge panel certainly indicated that they’re not huge fans of the idea. While, in the end, that doesn’t necessarily indicate how they’ll decide, it certainly gives you a hint in which direction their leaning. The comments suggest that strictly on a legal basis, the law is impossible to comply with – simply because the filters don’t work. Of course, no matter what the panel decides, the case will be immediately appealed to the Supreme Court.
