People Lose Interest In Shopping By Cell Phone

A new study says that people are growing less and less interested in shopping for things via their cell phone (so called “m-commerce”). That’s funny. I had been under the impression that very few people were ever actually interested in buying stuff over their cell phone. So, if the interest is dropping, I imagine we’re starting from a small number and getting much smaller. The study, however, did say that people like the idea of being able to pay for things using their mobile phone (such as dialing a certain number at a vending machine to get it to release a can of soda). There is also (not surprisingly) a growing interest in text messaging…
