HPaq Vote Done, Merger Might Be Approved

from the maybe,-maybe-not dept

I’ve been trying to avoid posting stories about the past months’ fighting over the HP/Compaq merger as it was mostly a lot of pointless rhetoric. However, as you probably know, the vote was today and despite an unhappy crowd at the meeting this morning, HP has still announced victory – saying they have enough votes to approve the merger. Of course, the actual winner probably won’t be known for a few weeks. If you want up to the minute updates, the San Jose Mercury News is running a play by play blog to keep up on merger news. That’s about all I’ll probably have to say today on the subject – unless something else out of the ordinary comes up.
