Dot Coms Trying To Learn From Porn Sites
from the business-opportunities dept
It seems that successful online porn entrepreneurs are suddenly finding a new business opportunity: consulting with dot coms on how to build a successful site. While not all online porn ventures are going well, plenty are – and other sites are trying to learn their secrets. For years people have said that porn was what drove many internet advancements forward, so why shouldn’t those pioneers make some more money explaining just how they did it?

well DUH!
Porn sites are selling a product that is inconvenient or embarassing to buy at a brick & mortar. Amazon, et al. are not. Why screw around with no custoner service, a difficult browse mechanism, potential credit card theft, 3 – 5 day wait for shipping (which you have to pay for), or any of the other annoying little details with e-buying when you can just as easily stop by B&N on your way home?? Of COURSE porn sites are doing ok! This is an apples & oranges comparison.
