How Segway Was Kept Secret From Suppliers

An interesting article about how the company that made the magnets that eventually went into the Segway were kept totally in the dark about what they were working on. They kept asking more questions, and they were always told no. They had various guesses as to what the magnets could be used for – and eventually a few of them guessed that it was some kind of scooter, but they had no idea they were working on the Segway until just before it was announced to the public.
