Origami Macs
from the what-can-you-say dept
Okay. Yes, I have been accused in the past of being anti-Apple, and I’ve tried to prove that I’m not. However, this one might send me back into the doghouse. If you ever needed proof that Mac-addicts need to get lives, here it is. There’s a whole community of folks who are focused on building fake Macs out of paper. Yes. Origami Macs have a following. I think, honestly, I have no problem with the actual computers at all. It’s the crazed users who get on my nerves… Update: Thanks the Joe Schmoe who posted below telling us about the new article from this morning about people who make furniture out of their old Apple boxes. This is really going too far. The guy who says he built the furniture because he was “thinking different” really loses points.

Computers as furniture
So what do you think of the folks that turn old mainframe computers into things like end tables and TV stands?
I’ve got the black monolithic pyramid-topped case of an N-cube supercomputer in my garage that I’m still dreaming of turning into an entertainment center.
Re: Computers as furniture
Man, people like that or total f-ing tools, what posers, they should get a life, or at least a real job so they can afford to by a real f-ing end table…
🙂
Whatever, those guys rock!!!

Re: Re: Computers as furniture
are there any websites showing some of these old computers turned into furniture. I’ve got some old hardware kicking around and could use some ideas.
