Lie Detector Camera

from the I-can-see-it-in-your-eyes dept

Forget hooking up an expensive brain fingerprinting system to see if you’re lying. Some scientists believe they’ve created a better lie detector that just uses a high-definition, heat-sensing camera to film you. Some tests have shown it working better than a typical polygraph machine. The idea is that it may be useful in airports in stuff (though after much more testing), as an indicator, since it doesn’t require any difficult training or administrators or being hooked up to a scary machine. Of course, if they became cheap enough, think of the market for untrusting, paranoid spouses. You could combine it with one of those hidden camera things. “Honey, look towards that mirror, no, a little to the left, there, now, I was just wondering, were you really working late last night?”
