Forget Free Games On Your Mobile Phone

from the start-paying... dept

If you thought ringtones were turning into big money makers in the wireless industry, you’re missing out on the potential for mobile phone games. While many phones now come with a free game or two, the popularity of phone games has caught the attention of the industry. Apparently 85% of Nokia phone users have at least tried at some of their games, with a larger percentage playing them every day. Where there’s a lot of users, companies smell money, and plans are underway to create games consumers will need to pay for. Even better, they’re working on network enabled games that will make you suck up precious mobile phone minutes and stuff money into the carriers’ pockets.

Re: embarrassed

i play work at a store that sells wireless products. for the most part, business here is comatose, sense everyone already has a phone and i can get most of my customers in and out in a matter of minutes. i would say that i contribute at least a half hour every day to my snake craze. High Score: 783 on the highest level. my manager topped 1200 once when we were competing for money. i heard a rumor that if someone scores more than 1000, they can get a free phone from any nokia retailer. all they have to do is show the high score on the phone. is there any truth to that rumor?
