Secrets Of The Web Used For Exploits

from the fun-stuff dept

Okay, so I ignored the News.com article from earlier this week about Google being able to find web pages that were meant to be private (even though a number of people submitted it). However, now the Register has a more interesting article about how Google can easily be used as a proxy to exploit known weaknesses. In fact, there’s some evidence that this might already be happening. In the unrelated-but-similar category, we also have an article about all those people who were erasing “sensitive” info from their websites suddenly discovering that most of it is still available, somewhere else, such as Google’s cache or the Internet Archive.
