Argentina Working On Email Laws

from the seems-simple-enough dept

Argentina is trying to pass some fairly basic email laws that seem to make a lot of sense. The two main features of the laws are that they make it illegal to read anyone else’s email or to send spam. Of course, here in the US, we just passed a law making it even easier for law enforcement to go in and read our email, so I doubt we’ll be seeing any similar law any time soon. Besides, the states that have passed spam laws have found them very difficult to actually enforce – because you need to find the spammer first. I’m still wondering who the clueless few are who respond to spam to make it worthwhile for spammers to continue.
