RIM Signs Up With VoiceStream

from the not-sitting-still dept

As Handspring and Palm look to move into RIM’s market, and startups like Good and Danger are salivating as well, RIM isn’t about to sit still. They’ve signed a deal with VoiceStream so that VoiceStream will now sell BlackBerry devices. The plan is to eventually add voice communications to the BlackBerry as well. This is going to be quite a battle between all these companies. It seems like RIM is the first one to actually get a carrier agreement, but the device still isn’t as functional as some of the others coming to market. I’d hope that RIM has been working on some cool new device behind the scenes that they’re getting ready to introduce.
