DirecTV Deal Down To The Wire

A very interesting “behind-the-scenes” of the DirecTV-EchoStar deal. It seems that GM went back and forth a bunch of times over the last week (and months), and the winner (News Corp or EchoStar) kept changing. Even on Saturday, it seemed as though they were going to do the deal with News Corp, until EchoStar’s Charlie Ergen sent a fax that started to turn the momentum.
