Yahoo Experience

from the Yahoo-XP? dept

So, I’ve been hearing people talk about the whole new Yahoo Essentials deal all day today. Along with the new IM client, you can also have Yahoo take over your desktop and make various changes, such as forcing Yahoo to be your startup page. It’s an interesting move, and one that clearly makes sense for Yahoo – though it may piss off some users who don’t realize what they’ve agreed to when they set it up. Also, it’s certainly going to piss off Microsoft – and some expect them to block this functionality pretty quickly.
