The RIAA Owes Us All An Apology

from the very-true dept

I didn’t even bother to post the news that the RIAA tried to insert a section into the anti-terrorist bill that would have made it okay for them to damage computers of file traders, because it just seemed so ridiculous that I wasn’t sure I believed it. Now, David Coursey has written that the RIAA owes us all an apology for trying to equate music traders with terrorists. It’s amazing to me that anyone or any group would be using the events of last month to push through some legislation for something that is clearly only of concern to them – and has nothing to do with terrorism. If you weren’t already sickened by the music industry, here’s yet another reason to be disgusted.
