First Designer Baby To Be Born In The UK

A British couple came to the US to go through a procedure to make sure their next child would have a matching immune system for their four-year old son who suffers from leukemia. Many people oppose such “designer” babies, but the couple (and their supporters) point out that they’re only making sure their next child could possibly save their other child as well. It’s not like they’re using the new baby just for “spare parts” or wasting time by choosing things like hair color.
