Stop Paying For Crappy Software

from the take-a-stand dept

We’ve already posted here a suggestion that Microsoft offer up Windows XP to current users for free – since it’s really a bug fix. Software companies make money by forcing their customers to upgrade – even though those upgrades are generally fixing bugs, or adding features that had been promised (but never delivered) in previous versions. Finally, some CIOs are taking a stand and trying to stop some of these practices. Some are even refusing to pay bills to software providers.
