Career Centers Struggling

from the it's-because-of-me dept

An interesting article about how even with more and more people out of work, local offline career centers are struggling. There are a couple of reasons for this. First, they’re not receiving corporate donations any more. More importantly, though, people are getting all their career center type advice online. I’d just like to think that Techdirt’s own online career center is putting all of these offline career centers out of business.

Thanks Scott. Unfortunately, that’s not “business”. It’s certainly one way to do business, but it’s a way I’ve chosen not to for various reasons that I’m completely happy with. If you were running Techdirt than you would set it up differently, but since I’m running Techdirt, I’ve set it up the way I wanted to, which makes a lot of long term sense.
