Here Comes The Slugbot

from the watch-out-slugs dept

Wired has an article about some researchers who have created the Slugbot, a totally autonomous robot that will roam around farms and pick up slugs to keep them away from the plants. It’s not exactly ready for commercial production just yet. They say the biggest problem they have is keeping slugs from crawling back out of the container once the slugbot has dumped them in. Maybe if they combined that with the slug eating robot we posted about last year, it would solve that problem and give the robots a new source of energy.
