Yahoo Getting Into The Office Suite Business?
from the testing-anything dept
Recently Yahoo has been asking an awful lot of survey questions of their users. The questions seem to have a pattern, though. They all start with “would you pay for…?” or “how much would you pay for…?”. Of course, just because they ask those questions, it doesn’t mean they’re going to go through with charging (or offering) any of the things they’re asking. That doesn’t stop News.com from speculating, though. Their latest guess is that Yahoo is looking at offering an office suite online, so that you can create, edit, and store documents and spreadsheets online. I could see it being useful, every once in a while, but I’m not sure I’d ever be willing to pay for such a thing.

Yahoo and uReach
I would definately pay for this, especially the storage part. Maybe its the way I work, quite mobily and from different machines all the time, but I hate being tied to a give PC. I also hate it when I don’t have an updated version of excel or can’t use
This is a good startup opportunity. ASP where one can write word-like documents and store them. And send them. Then yahoo buys you out.
I really like the service of uReach. I store a lot of stuff there. There email program is much better than Yahoo’s I think, and they have some cool phone/wireless features. I’m happy to pay ureach for the “over and aboves” I use.
