Upside Today Folds
from the another-one-bites-the-dust dept
Tyee writes “From their page: “UpsideToday, the online news division of Upside Media, has ceased operations as of today due to insufficient funds.” Not really very surprising, all things considered. I very rarely read UpsideToday any more, though it used to be a required stop. They were never really sure what they were and how to take one of the oldest “techie/business” magazines and put it online. I remember talking to someone there in 1997 and he explained that they were going to make the website “edgy” so that people couldn’t do without it. I think the problem was that everyone thought that their own websites were edgy – and people needed reality more than edginess.
