European Dot Coms Doing Okay

from the we're-still-here! dept

It turns out that European dot coms are lasting longer than their American counterparts. About 90% of dot coms that were surveyed in Europe a year ago, are still standing. The Germans are doing the best, with 66% of their dot coms showing profits. I’m just wondering what qualifies as a “dot com” any more. It seems like there are no dot coms left in the US, because they’ve all changed their names and business plans to pretend that the whole internet thing was something other companies bothered with.
