How To Make HP-Compaq Work

from the stop-the-deal? dept

As just about everyone (except those in charge at HP and Compqaq) are now agreeing that the merger of the two companies is probably not such a great idea, some folks try to figure out ways to make the deal work. One such way might be cancelling the deal – though that would be costly as well. Another option seems to be cozying up with service providers to build out a “services practice”. My guess is the only way to make it work is to fire an awful lot of people. And, what’s this about them ditching the Compaq brand? That seems wasteful. Maybe they should consider calling the company ComHPaq.
