Would Breaking Windows Be Different If Written Today?

from the books-are-too-slow dept

A couple weeks back we linked to a review about a new book on Microsoft called Breaking Windows that explained the fights that went on inside during the past few years concerning strategy and the various lawsuits against the company. Now Salon has their own review of the book, saying that the book, just like a court decision, is too slow to keep up with the rapid change of technology. Events over the past few months undermine many of the arguments in the book, and make it a confusing read. There’s a hastily added chapter at the end that doesn’t make as much sense as the rest of the book as the author tries to tie the changing times to the arguments in the book, but it’s not all that convincing.
