The French Don't Really Care About The Internet

from the well,-fine,-let-them-suffer-along-with-minitel dept

It turns out the French don’t like the internet. It’s just not the thing for them, apparently. Only 1 in 5 people in France connect to the internet from home, and that seems to be enough. Very few others have any interest in it. The report says that many people just don’t understand the internet, or think it’s too complicated to get online.

the french internet

The reason the french don’t care about the internet is because they live in France. Ever been there? I’d hate to be an American envying the French, but they really have a beautiful place over there. And they are more social than Americans, who use the internet as a tool, not to socialize, but to turn inward and interact with people from a distance if they interact with people at all.
