A short opinion piece from News.com about how Be and The Industry Standard died after trying to build businesses partly based on just how cool they were. It is, as they point out, very difficult to keep an image of cool. You have to keep reinventing yourself, like Madonna. And, let’s face it, neither Be nor The Standard were Madonna.
