Excite@Home Ditches Auditers Who Question Their Viability

So, just after Ernst & Young questions Excite@Home’s ability to last as a going concern we find out that Excite@Home has fired E&Y and is now using PriceWaterhouseCoopers. The timing of it all seems suspicious. They claim that they had nothing against the firm that just told them, basically, they’re going out of business – but you have to wonder. Of course, E&Y probably doesn’t care, because they’ve seen enough to realize it’s unlikely Excite@Home is going to be able to pay them any time soon.
