When do we get an article detailing all the stories of celebrity internet addicts? The latest is that tennis star Serena Williams says she started shopping online because she was sick of being recognized in stores – but then got addicted and was spending six hours a day shopping online (only 3 hours on days she had tennis matches). She says she’s now beat the addiction. That might be one case where having low bandwidth could be helpful. How much stuff can you buy that you’d spend half of your waking (non-tennis-playing) hours shopping online?
