Mediterranean Mondays

from the how-work-should-be dept

Some firms in the UK are testing out a program of “Mediterranean Mondays” where they all get to take a short nap each Monday afternoon for fifteen or twenty minutes. There’s also stuff about excercise and some sort of dietary supplements. My own personal experience is that I can be significantly more productive on days when I excercise for half an hour or so at some point in the morning, and take a short nap in the afternoon (I’ve apparently accidentally copied these Mediterranean Mondays – though I don’t do so on a regular enough schedule). The combination of those two things, though, make it much easier to get through a day with a lot more energy. Of course, I doubt most companies would be willing to set up such programs – but so far those that are testing them seem to like the results.
