Supporters Ask Adobe For Money To Support Sklyarov Lawsuit

from the like-that-will-happen dept

Members of a group trying to free Dmitry Sklyarov from prison have called on Adobe to donate to his legal fund. Adobe, if you remember, were the ones who caused this whole mess in the first place, by having him arrested for writing a piece of software that really doesn’t do anything particularly bad (and actually can be very helpful). After a number of protests, Adobe backed off – but Dmitry is still in jail because the government has to decide whether or not to drop the case. No one actually expects Adobe to give any money, but as one guy said, “Adobe made the mess so they should help clean it up”.
