3% Of Drivers In The U.S. On Mobile Phones Right Now

from the watch-out dept

A new study shows that 3% of drivers in the US are using cell phones at any given time. The study also shows that women are more likely than men to being using cell phones in cars, SUVs and vans are popular vehicles for folks who drive and talk, and you find more people talking while driving during non-rush hour times than rush hour times. That last one is surprising, as I would think that people stuck in traffic would be more likely to start talking to pass the time.
