Internet Over Powerlines… Again
from the try-try-again dept
Every once in a while you read an article about how people are trying to allow net access over powerlines. But, then you never hear anything more about it. It seems that many past trials never went through, or didn’t last very long. Well, now they’re trying again in Europe. If I remember correctly, though, there were definite technology problems to doing a similar thing in the US. Besides, I thought anything that involved wires was supposed to be dead. What happened to the wireless revolution?

ack thhhhpt
sure, wires are dead now the same way that the desktop PC has been declared dead in the media for the past six years.
I thought we were not believing everything we read?

Once again, I get in trouble because I forgot to use the little known, but important, sarcasm HTML tag.
