Okay, so the little dot coms didn’t destroy all the big old firms. The big old firms watched and learned, and now they’re using the internet to their advantage. Sure everyone’s trashing the internet these days, but that’s because they’re sick of the hype. Meanwhile, companies like GE are making more money online than all the different public B2B companies combined. First mover advantage just meant that you were the first lemming over the edge.
